The India Week, held in Singapore 24-27 Jan 2019, has set the pace of increasing exports of Indian origin products to markets of 640 million people in the Association of South East Asian (ASEAN) region as well as the larger markets of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Parntership (RCEP) being negotiated.
It is backed by the India-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement along with 16-country Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which is widely expected to be concluded this year with India as a lead partner.
Boosting exports and trades along with the FTA and RCEP is the India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), a third review of which is ongoing to liberalize India services sector.
